“Computers were not an option then.” She didn’t put her name on any of them, for the killer, still on the loose, might learn about what she’d done and harm her or her children. Nothing happened on this case at the time, but when Dennis Rader was finally arrested in 2005 and admitted to being the infamous serial killer, Riedel was pleased to see that all of her hard work had paid off.

Her composites proved to be very close likenesses. She hopes they'll end up in a museum or crime archive.
