. 591 Answers SOURCE: The key for the panel is supplied from the distributor and you need to be a certified installer to open an account and buy one, A good old big flat screw driver will open the pannel as well but the lock will be useless after that LOL! (you could screw the dore shut with #6 sheet metal screws after) than you can go on the Ademco's web site to serch for the default code of your alarm panel model but if the installer changed it than you have to reset the panel to factory default and re-program it. (unless the installer activated the installers lock up) than you need the code from the last installer that serviced the panel. If not than you need to send the board to Ademco to have it unlocked or change the board for a new one. (you will still have to re-program everything from scratch. That's what security is all about!!!

Easterman ElectronicSecurity MCM CDSC-9; Chubb Secure 8000 Alarm Easterman Electronic Security Tamworth N.S.W. Australia Email: The Icon 8 panel which is also known as the Secure 8000 is 1 of my favourites as an all round panel. They are quite simple to install, programming is super simple & for the end user they are about as close as I can think of to being a goof proof system to use.

They are effectively a small 8 zone alarm panel with as many functions as you could want from a small system. For premises requiring more than the Icon 8 system, MCM also manufacture a larger panel called the Icon 16, also known as the Chubb Secure 16 panel.

This panel offers 16 zones in it's basic form which can be expanded out to 48 zones. The Icon 16 panel also features 6 area's which can be used to split your premises into 6 separate alarm systems. Another feature of the Icon 16 is the 6 programmable output points which can be used for operations such as lighting control, CCTV switching, etc.

I have been using these alarm panels for quite a few years now & they have more than proven their exceptional reliability in the field.
