Shortly after won an Academy Award for his soundtrack to Midnight Express, he appeared on German TV where, after they introduced him, they played clips from the film and Moroder played some of the song’s riffs on the Minimoog rigged up for him. While this likely wasn’t a true live performance, it’s fun nonetheless.
